“Each year the Songlines Music Awards attract more and more votes, and as ever we’ve got a typically diverse list,” says Simon Broughton, editor-in-chief of Songlines magazine. “It includes big names like Manu Chao – although for an album he recorded a decade ago only recently released in the UK, innovative British bands, like Los Desterrados, some inventive musical meetings and, of course, new names to discover. They come together to create a vibrant collection where everybody can find something to enjoy.”
